Sayeret Givati · Soldiers, reservists & families
Our soldiers and their families carry it home. From across the ocean, you can help carry it with them — before a crisis, in the moment of need, and all the way through recovery.
501(c)(3) · Tax-deductible in the U.S. · EIN 93-3891157
No one is left behind — not on the battlefield, and not after.

Sayeret Givati · The reconnaissance unit
From the field to the day after, we stand with the unit's soldiers, reservists, veterans and families — every step of the way. Support too often arrives only after someone is already in crisis. We believe resilience must begin earlier: inside the team, in the moment of need, and all the way through recovery.
A message from the field — Captain (Res.) Shai Burnstein, Sayeret Givati.
How it works
Training soldiers and commanders to spot distress early — built with Reichman University.
A real person, fast, the moment a soldier needs help. No one faces it alone.
What a team lived through together, it works through together — on journeys and workshops.
Parents and partners get tools to keep strength growing at home.
Where your support goes
Five programs around every circle of a soldier's life. Choose where your support goes, or let it flow to where the need is greatest.
A whole combat team travels together to process what they went through, strengthen their bond, and come home with tools to keep going. Our flagship — 40+ teams are waiting for a place.
Behind every fighter is a partner running the home alone and children missing a parent for months. We bring families together for retreats, couples' evenings, and subsidized counseling.
The unit has lost 99 of its soldiers. Every year we award one scholarship in memory of each — to a veteran starting his studies, with an alumni mentor beside him.
We stay with bereaved families and wounded fighters year-round: at memorials, birthdays and holidays, with support for orphans, and through every stage of rehabilitation.
With Reichman University's 5D Resilience Center, we train fighters and commanders to recognize distress early and respond. Commanders also get a recharge day and a peer group of their own.
The people behind the numbers
"Today, after 12 surgeries and a great deal of suffering, I'm getting back to myself. Training, running, choosing life."
One of the fighters your support carried from the operating table back to his own feet.
When Staff Sgt. Michael Tyukin, of blessed memory, fell in Lebanon, his mother Katya could not be left alone. The community gathered around her — and turned grief into a legacy that keeps giving.
For each of the unit's fallen, one veteran begins his studies with a scholarship in that soldier's name — and an alumni mentor beside him.
Building resilience long after service ends — through 8+ resilience workshops this year and 11 active communities around the country.

2027 · In the U.S.
In 2027, veterans of the unit — former commanders who now lead our programs in Israel — come to Jewish communities across the U.S. Three ways your community can connect with the team.
For families & b'nai mitzvah
Connect your child's milestone to the soldiers of the Givati Reconnaissance Unit — a mitzvah project with faces, names and meaning.
Leadership & resilience mentors
Former recon commanders come from Israel to work with your teens, students, parents and lay leaders — on leadership, resilience and Jewish pride.
Standing together
What our veterans learned as a team under pressure — composure, cohesion and resilience — shared with Jewish communities facing hard days. A resilience program, not security training.
